S. Howard Wittels, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. S. Howard Wittels is Chief of Anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center (MSMC) and Chair of Anesthesiology at Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He has been a member of the Mount Sinai Board of Trustees since 2001. Dr. Wittels has 40 years of clinical and academic experience and is a distinguished expert in cardiac anesthesia. In addition to his work with Tiger Tech, Dr. Wittels practices as a full-time anesthesiologist. He also has received multiple clinical research grants and is a published author in various medical journals. Dr. Wittels' research interests include wildlife conservation, big data analytics, and biomedical wearables.
Hector Davila, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Davila is Vice Chairman of Anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Administrative Vice-Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Davila is a Colonel (Ret), Medical Corps, USAR, with 30 years of service. He is as a full-time anesthesiologist at Mount Sinai. His research interests include casualty transportation, hyperthermia, and trauma.


Guillermo "Bill" Garcia, MD
Principal Investigator
Dr. Guillermo “Bill” Garcia is a full-time anesthesiologist and the Director of Clinical Anesthesia Services at Mount Sinai Medical Center. With over 25 years of clinical experience, Dr. Garcia is a Clinical Instructor at Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Dr. Garcia is not only dual-boarded, but has also authored numerous medical publications. Dr. Garcia’s interests with research include heart rate variability, pulse rate variability, and traumatic brain injuries.
